Leicester National Space Centre

Today I went to the National Space Centre in Leicester.  It's a really cool place, but a tad easy to get lost in.   Part of our ticket included a presentation about the stars, the galaxies, and how we learn about them.  It was narrated by David Tennant.  I admit, that means more to some of you than it means to others.

The majority of the museum featured factoids far too specific for me to feel bothered about repeating, varying in topic from how we perceive the galaxy, how astronauts live in space, how life exists, and how the universe exists!  There were also a few space capsules and models.  So here are a couple pictures of what they looked like.  This first one is called "Soyuz," which was built in the Soviet Union in the 60's.  Below that is a model of the international space station.

And finally, for a few crazy little fans, it's the Doctor!
