The Year

Given that I've been in class for about a month, I thought I might share the general tone of each of my 6 classes.  Enjoy.

Español Tres:  Este clase me gusta.  Hay muchas personas interesantes, y vemos películas como "Hombre de la Mancha."  Mi español no es perfecto, pero me gusta hablarlo y cuando yo haga, me divierto.

Sociology: The first two sentences from the first paragraph of the first reading from this class are as follows: "Nowadays people often feel that their private lives are a series of traps.  They sense that within their everyday worlds, they cannot overcome their troubles, and in that feeling, they are often quite correct."  Oh joy.

Calculus:  Teacher: "So if the limit from the left is not equal to the limit from the right, then we say there is no limit."
Me: "What about government?  If the limit of the right is not equal to the limit of the left, does that mean government has no limit?"
   Teacher: ...

American Lit:  The one class that is an actual english class, and I swear we have done more reading and writing in every other class.  I'm not complaining, though.  Our first writing assignment for this class is due on monday, and it is a narrative writing piece.  Narrative!  I love the chance to write narrative.  It's a lot easier for me (and a lot more compelling to read) than boring old essays.

Chemistry:  Such a Boron class.  Everything is a Li.  All the cool things Argon.  I'd rather spend time cooking Barium Cobalt Nitride (BaCoN).

Forensic Science:  I'm still trying to figure this class out.  It's all one big mystery.  Do we know anything for sure?  Can you prove it?  Have all the procedures been followed properly?  Will the courts accept this as valid?  So many questions in this class.
