Bowling on the Pier

   Today we went walking over to the pier again.  This time, rather than just walking past the pier as we've done before, we went into the pier, into a cool little (Psht. little, I meant huge) arcade.  What we did, however, wasn't playing arcade games.  We went bowling.  I think the interior of the place was kinda cool: the lanes looked groovy and there was a cafe nearby that looked almost like an 80's American diner.  We did have a problem with the pin setter getting stuck on my third frame, but other than that, there wasn't anything to complain about.  I've included a couple pictures of the place from the outside and the inside.

   This last picture gives me something to complain about.  I didn't take it today, I took it yesterday when we went for a walk past the pier.  As you can see, it was a beautiful day, a little warm, the perfect day for a walk.  Today it was raining and windy.  In july.  What gives?  It was at least 75 (23) when I left Oregon, and that wouldn't even have been the high!  And that's OREGON!!!!!!  It's always raining there, and yet England is having worse weather?  WHY???  I've been able to manage without getting too worked up until now (as you might have guessed from the fact I haven't previously mentioned the weather) because it's not been that bad, but walking in real wind and real rain in july just got to me.  Especially since, for once in my life, I would actually prefer the weather Oregon is having to the weather I'm experiencing on vacation!

   Oh.  One final little thing.  I saw this game at the arcade.  I didn't play it, but there are certain friends of mine who I can imagine might get a kick out of it.  It's called "Colorama," which instantly made me think of the show I've only heard about called "Futurama."

   Anyway, today was fun.  More good times in the future.  I hope.
