From East to... Middle?

Today was a day of traveling.  Since most of it was spent in the car, I don't have any photographs, but I do have a fun little story for you.
At a little after 10 in the morning, my family and I departed for a trip to my aunt and uncle.  My aunt that we visited is the only aunt on my dad's side of the family, and we stayed with them for a few hours.  They have an adorable spanish dog that they called Bear.  When we arrived, he started barking like mad.  It's not something he usually does, but we figure that he must have been nervous since a) there were four strange people suddenly entering the house, and b) he had to meet them without his step-sister, who normally handles the barking at new comers.  Of course he calmed down very quickly when he got to know us a little, and we settled in for a few hours.
They made us some lunch on a barbecue.  We hadn't wanted them to go to that much trouble, but it turned out they'd actually wanted to use the barbecue.  My aunt had bought if for my uncle's birthday earlier this year, and they had cooked using it on that day, and it has rained everyday since at their place, spare today.
In the states, almost all the barbecue food you get is considerably more padded out than you get here.  The food we had for lunch this afternoon was incredibly delicious.  And it was also probably healthier than states' food, too.
Once we'd spent a few hours there, we continued on to Bolsover, a town in the Midlands of England.  We arrived a little after dinner, and we got to meet a large amount of the family from my mother's side of the family.  Compared to when we were staying with my grandparents on my dad's side, and we only once met more members of the family, (spare this afternoon) today we met at least as many, and we're going to be spending time with all of them constantly over our time here.

I'm going to have fun time!  I really hope you guys enjoy reading these accounts half as much as I enjoy the actual experiences (I would have said "I hope you are enjoying these accounts as much as I am enjoying having them," but lets face it, there's no chance of that!), and I would love for you to tell me about what you think!  If you have a Google account, you can log in and comment.  I'd love to hear what you guys think about these posts, and it there's anything you want me to do differently.  Please talk to me!   I am an actual, real, emotional person!  I like to know that people are reading and thinking about my posts.
